Itinerary

Arrival at Islamabad International Airport. Our staff will welcome the team and transfer members to the hotel. Initial briefing, document verification, and rest after international travel.


Overnight: Hotel in Islamabad

Early morning flight to Skardu (subject to weather). Enjoy breathtaking aerial views of Nanga Parbat and the Karakoram Range. On arrival, transfer to hotel.
If flight is canceled, travel by road via the Karakoram Highway (2 days).


Overnight: Hotel in Skardu

Rest day in Skardu for recovery and acclimatization. Final shopping for fresh supplies, fuel check, porter arrangements, and completion of K2 climbing expedition permits and government formalities.

Drive by 4x4 jeep along the Indus and Braldu Rivers to Askole, the last settlement before the Karakoram glaciers and the gateway to the K2 climbing expedition route.

Overnight: Camp at Askole

Start trekking for the K2 climbing expedition. Trek along the Braldu River with impressive views of Bakhor Das Peak.

A scenic trek with gradual ascent. The dramatic granite spires of Trango Towers and Cathedral Peaks dominate the skyline.

Overnight: Camp at Paiju

Rest and acclimatization day. Optional short hike on the Paiju Glacier to prepare the body for Baltoro Glacier trekking.

Enter the Baltoro Glacier, one of the longest glaciers outside the polar regions, marking a major milestone of the K2 climbing expedition approach.

Overnight: Camp at Khoburtse

Trek to Urdukas, one of the most scenic camps of the Baltoro, offering panoramic views of surrounding granite giants.

Trek on the central Baltoro Glacier with stunning views of Masherbrum and Gasherbrum IV.


Overnight: Camp at Goro II

Trek to Concordia, famously known as the “Throne Room of the Mountain Gods.” Enjoy spectacular views of K2, Broad Peak, and Gasherbrum I & II.


Overnight: Camp at Concordia

Final trek to K2 Base Camp, the operational heart of the K2 climbing expedition. Establish base camp and organize equipment.

Day 13–15: K2 Base Camp – Rest & Acclimatization

Rest and acclimatization days at base camp. Medical checks, route observation, rope fixing coordination, and acclimatization hikes above base camp.

This period is dedicated to the core K2 climbing expedition, including:

·       Load carries between Base Camp, Camp I (6,050m), Camp II (6,700m), and Camp III (7,200m)

·       Establishment of high camps and fixing ropes through House Chimney, Black Pyramid, and Shoulder

·       Multiple rotations for acclimatization

·       Rest days at Base Camp between carries

·       Continuous weather monitoring and route safety assessment

Camps are typically established as follows: 

·       Camp I: 6,050m

·       Camp II: 6,700m

·       Camp III: 7,200m

·       Camp IV: 7,800m (Shoulder of K2)

This flexible window ensures climbers are fully acclimatized and ready for a safe summit attempt.

Reserved for summit attempts delayed by weather, second summit window, or additional descent time during the K2 expedition.

Begin trek back after completing the K2 climbing expedition.
